IKare 1.6 release

We're pleased to inform you about the new version of IKare for Centreon, a release driven by steady improvements, customer needs and rich knowledge of our developers.
The development of IKare for Centreon has begun on January, this year. The results of an online survey, conducted in February, confirmed our vision of the All-in-one monitoring solution IKare has become today.
An update of the stand-alone versions of the IKare product suite is anticipated for the end of the year, together with a new graphical interface currently under developement.

Technical features

The detailed specs of IKare 1.6 for Centreon will be released in a brochure (in english), within a short time on this website. The following list contains the most important updates which now exist on the product:

• A network discovery mode allows for faster security scans on your network typology. Our engine automatically detects new hosts and puts them under supervision by Centreon.
• Improved security monitoring allows for periodic scans on known and unknown hosts performed by VSec, the IKare security scanner. Intervals range from short 30 minutes to 12 hours.
• Punctual or periodical vulnerability scanning on long intervals (every 6 hours to weekly) performed by one of the following engines: Nessus, OpenVAS and, very soon, Qualys.

Extensive testing confirmed the anticipated superior performance and reliability of all newly introduced features.
